With just a week left until the originally slated release date, the upcoming Batman: Arkham Trilogy set from Nintendo Switch has been officially delayed seven weeks and will now be released on December 1, 2023.

While this may be disappointing, the folks over at Rocksteady gave a good reason, saying, “More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch. We apologize to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.”

Needing more time to make this version of the game great is fine by me. The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, when released on Switch, was buggy, and probably could’ve used more time as well, so I think this is a good move. Also, it’s only seven weeks, and will still be available for Christmas.

Batman: Arkham Trilogy will include the first three games — Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, & Arkham Knight — but does not include Arkham Origins, which was release by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, who also recently released Gotham Knights.

It promises to allow players to experience “the definitive versions of Rocksteady’s Arkham Trilogy games.” This trilogy also includes all post-launch content, including DLC expansions, suits, Batmobiles, and more. All three of these games have been available elsewhere for years but this trilogy marks the first time Switch players can play through all three games.

Pre-orders for Batman: Arkham Trilogy are open now, so be sure to order your copy today so you don’t miss out.

WARNER BROS GAMES AND DC ANNOUNCE

BATMAN ARKHAM TRILOGY FOR NINTENDO SWITCH

Compilation of Critically Acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight Released for the First Time on Nintendo Platform, Bundled with All Previously Released DLC in One Iconic Package

Burbank, Calif. – June 21, 2023 – Warner Bros. Games and DC today announced Batman: Arkham Trilogy for Nintendo Switch, a compilation of Rocksteady Studios’ award-winning videogames that brings together the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham AsylumBatman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight in one iconic package. Batman: Arkham Trilogy is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch this fall 2023, complete with all previously released downloadable content (DLC) from all three titles. The trilogy is being developed for Nintendo Switch by Turn Me Up Games.

Developed by Rocksteady Studios and released in 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum is where it all started. The game set the stage for DC’s “Arkhamverse” that fans know and love today, and introduced players to a unique, dark, and atmospheric adventure that takes players to the depths of the infamous Arkham Asylum. Featuring an original story, players move in the shadows as Batman to instill fear amongst enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City’s most notorious villains, including Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow, who have taken over the asylum.

Batman: Arkham City is Rocksteady Studios’ 2011 follow-up that builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game sends players soaring through the expansive Arkham City – the maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters, and insane criminal masterminds. Featuring an incredible Rogues Gallery of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals including Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and many others, the game allows players to experience what it feels like to be The Dark Knight and deliver justice to those confined within Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham Knight raises the stakes for The Dark Knight in Rocksteady Studios’ 2015 finale to the multi-award winning trio of Batman: Arkham games. In this epic conclusion to the Arkhamverse story arc, the fate of Gotham City hangs in the balance as Scarecrow is joined by the Arkham Knight, making his villainous debut in DC’s Batman Universe, as well as a roster of notorious DC Super-Villains including Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Two-Face, Firefly, and the Riddler. Joining The World’s Greatest Detective are his closest allies, Commissioner Gordon, Oracle, Alfred, Lucius Fox, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing. The game culminates in the ultimate showdown in Gotham City and introduces players to the complete Batman experience with the Batmobile that is fully drivable throughout the open game world and capable of transformation from high-speed Pursuit Mode to military grade Battle Mode.

Rocksteady’s new game is Suicide Squad!

There have been lots of rumors and hints and allegations in the five years since Rocksteady released Arkham Knight. Would it be another Batman game? Or maybe Superman? With DC’s Fandome event approaching we have our answer. Suicide Squad! The studio tweeted out a pic of Superman with a crossharis focused on his head. We will learn more at Fandome, but signs are pointing to a Justice League vs. Suicide Squad. When it was released for Xbox 360 and Playstation it became an instant classic. The game and the sequels changed what superhero video games can be and proved that a compelling narrative can be told through gaming. A team based game can really expand on game play since we can focus on many characters instead of the just The Dark Knight. Many fans also remember the post credits scene in Arkham Origins where Amanda Waller asks Deathstroke to join.

Expect more details when DC Fandome launches on August 22nd, and expect that the game will be for next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.

This is a RUMOR guys, so take this information with a grain of salt and as always, don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Over the past decade, we’ve all loved Rocksteady’s Arkham Asylum series. These games were seen as some of the best Batman games in history, I mean we didn’t exactly have much else to go off of in terms of depth and graphics. Apparently, brace yourselves, a new Batman: Arkham game (not by Rocksteady) is being released sooner than we all thought.

It is assumed that the game will be released on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. Last September, Warner Bros. Interactive revealed that a new Batman game was in the works. Sadly, nothing about said game has been revealed since. According to Gamereactor, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s original plan with the game was to slowly tease it until E3, and then it would be revealed at their first-ever presser conference. Unfortunately with COVID-19, that put a damper on those plans.

Is it coming this year? Is it coming next year? We don’t know! Have we been hearing about this game for years? Yep! But hey, maybe one day we’ll see it even though many feel this game will pale in comparison to the Rocksteady games. While we know it exists, that’s all we know. Maybe Warner Bros. will reveal it during the release of the PS5.

So what do you think will happen? When do you think we’ll see the new game? Let us know in the comments below!

A massive world has allegedly been promised for the next Batman game.

The last installment – Batman: Arkham Knight – proved such an endeavour was possible. The Gotham City delivered was a beautifully textured and diverse landscape. Be it gliding with a memory cloth cape or tearing up the blocks with the Batmobile, Bat-fans were satisfied. It visually embraced the evil that would make a Batman not only possible, but necessary.

In the now-cancelled Damian Wayne Batman game, however, the landscape was to go further in scope.

What Is Meant By A Massive World?

“Gotham City was supposed to be [a massive world] in the Damian game, ” GWW’s James Sigfield tweeted. “[It’s] a safe assumption that this one will at least be a little bigger.”

The one he’s referring to is the next game promised by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which shall be a minor reboot. With the open-endedness of the end of Arkham Knight, it would be forgivable.

The conclusion of the last game – the penultimate chapter in a four-part game series by Rocksteady games – ended with big bad Scarecrow exposing Bruce Wayne’s identity. Following his defeat, Batman initiated the “Knightfall” protocol that saw Wayne Manor demolished with him and Alfred inside. The final scene takes place a year later, with muggers attacked by a demonic Batman displaying Scarecrow’s fear toxin effects.

Aside from the promise of a larger, free-roam environment, there are no further details on the project. What can fans expect? Who will be the voice cast? More as it develops.

Many questions have been asked after the closing of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham saga. What’s next? A Superman based game? A new saga starring Damian Wayne or Dick Grayson? It turns out that some of the questions have been answered.

The company behind Batman: Arkham Origins, Warner Bros. Studios Montreal, will be giving us a new game. Senior Designer Osama Dorias appeared on Humans of Gaming’s podcast and stated that a “couple” of projects centered around the DC Universe were in the works at the studio.

“The project I just recently left, because there are a couple projects at [WB Games Montreal], the only thing I can say about is it’s a major console game, open world, DC Universe — so that’s really awesome.”

Sadly it might be a long time before we hear anything more about the project. Osama noted, “But I can’t really say anything else. It’s too early, it’s not announced yet. But it’s really kickass.” Osama noted on the podcast that he’s a big Marvel fan and loves very few DC titles. But the project he was working on was definitely one of the ones he loved. It came to light that Osama’s two favorite heroes were Batman and Superman. Could we see a game surrounding the World’s Finest? A Batman vs. Superman? Who knows.

We’ll just have to wait for more information. As always.

With E3 just around the corner rumors are spreading that Rocksteady will unveil their much-rumored Superman game.

Rocksteady is the company behind the groundbreaking Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009. The success of that game led to Arkham City in 2011 and Arkham Knight in 2015.

Even though a Superman game has yet to be officially announced by Rocksteady, they have been reportedly working on a DC project since Arkham Knight. Leaks and rumors have hinted that it is a Superman game.

An alleged leaked trailer for the game is said to verify that it is, in fact a Superman game and that the battle tactics are similar to the Arkham trilogy model. If the trailer leak is true, then it also indicated that Brainiac could be the primary villain of the game.

Recent rumors have also indicated that Superman may be the focus on the July issue of Game Informer’s cover and that a gameplay demo is said to be scheduled at the E3 conference starting June 10.

Make your play! Rocksteady may be leaving the franchise it helped launch and moving on from any new ARKHAM releases and it came straight from “Batman” himself!

The man behind the voice of the Caped Crusader in the widely popular Batman: Arkham video game series, Kevin Conroy suggests that the studio that introduced the series Rocksteady is rady to hang up the cape and cowl and move out of Gotham. “I can’t believe that they’re not going to do another one, but they’re not,” said Conroy. “Isn’t that amazing?” The voice actor made the revelation to a fan while attending Wizard World Nashville recently.

Though the series proved monstrously lucrative for Rocksteady especially on the latest installment of the franchise Batman: Arkham Knight and it’s spin-off Batman: Arkham VR the expectation by some game industry insiders was that WB Games might pick up the mantle and produce a prequel series, but alas fans of the winning Batman: Arkham series may have to settle for some replays. The Arkham series also included the Arkham Origins line which took players back to the beginning.

WB Games is working on a new game, this one is meant to focus on the latest Robin, Damian Wayne.
